Finance Types

Looking for financing? You have a variety of options. Three main sources of funding are captives, independent lenders and bank-affiliated lenders.

  • Bank Affiliated - Financial services companies, including commercial banks, investment banks and multi-line finance companies. Equipment finance and activities are intermingled with other bank functions, utilizing internal funding sources. Jurisdiction by the Comptroller of the Currency.
  • Independent - An independent funding source that finances directly to businesses. A company with a portfolio for its own account that may provide a broad range of financial products and services.
  • Captive - The arm of a manufacturer or equipment supplier. They typically provide financing for their parent company's products or dealer networks. At least 60 percent of their lease portfolio consists of products produced by parent and/or affiliates.
